El Cafecito was not built around a product. It was built around a feeling — the warmth of a perfect cup, the stillness of a quiet morning, the quiet pride of knowing exactly where your coffee comes from and how it was made.
The Founder
A cup that carries a whole world home.
Growing up between cultures, I learned early that coffee was not just a drink — it was a gathering. It was my grandmother’s kitchen before sunrise. It was the steam rising from a clay pot while the Andes turned gold outside the window. It was the first language adults and children shared without needing words.
When I moved to the United States, I carried that feeling with me. But it was hard to find coffee that felt like that — coffee that was honest about where it came from, who grew it, and how much it mattered.
So I started El Cafecito. Not to build a brand. But to build a bridge — between the farmers in the highlands of Peru and the people here who would love what they grow, if only they could taste it properly.
Rooted in Peru
Where altitude becomes flavor.
The highlands of Peru are among the most extraordinary coffee-growing regions on earth. At elevations above 5,000 feet, the Andean air is cool and clean, the soil is volcanic and mineral-rich, and the families who farm these mountains have done so for generations — with patience that most of us have forgotten how to have.
This terroir cannot be replicated. The slow development of beans at high altitude creates a depth of flavor — bright, complex, clean — that is unmistakably Peruvian.
